SDD day 22

yesterday was lovely, my daughter really enjoyed swimming and so everyone else did and we had a really lovely day together.
something went wrong with my pedometer yesterday i walked over 10k. but it somehow reset around the 9k mark, so here are the stats that i was left with:
2256 steps, 1.35km 6768kcal.
im really hoping that my watch arrives soon so i can have a back up, but the guy who sold it said it'd arrive within 20-40 days - boo!
taking my little lexi to a local park today, eastrop. there they have 3 ponds/ paddling pools, one for little ones to play in, 1 for boats and 1 for fish, theres also a pond and a big-ish park for the little ones. lexi loves it there.
and i didn't get round to doing the C25K last night as the night before i got about 2hours sleep, and me and my daughter both slept for 12 hours straight last night. it was bliss. then i woke up to her crying because she had taken off her nappy and had diarrheoa all over her cot.
the joys of being a mother
C25k will be completed later tonight and stats will be uploaded tomorrow.
1 day left on SDD can't wait :)

SDD day 21

every friday me, my daughter my friend emma and her little boy swimming, theres about 2 months between them, he was born on 31st of december 2011 and she was born on the 12th of february 2012. the boy love sit but lexi isn’t too keen, its ‘mumma mumma noooooooooo’ every 2 minutes as shes afraid she’ll get dunked or if i lay back in the water that somethings happened to me. we’re hoping in time she’ll start ti enjoy it because at the moment everyone else loves it, and swimming is a great workout.
last night again, i couldn’t sleep so i was looking up 30 day challenges. i’ve had it in my head for awhile since i saw the squat challenge, and since i’ve started running and am really enjoying it, i guess i should do some squats to strengthen up my legs etc. i found 6 challenges that look good, for a lot of them i had no idea what they were, so they were cancelled out quite quickly. but i found squat, crunch, plank, lean arms, push ups and thigh pyramid. i was thinking of starting the squat challenge when i start the 30 days shred in about a week, from what i remember of the shred there is a lot of squatting work, and exercising to build up your legs.
i feel sick after everytime i take the drops, so i know now that they don’t agree with me, i’ve been on the drops 3 weeks now, and everytime the sick feeling comes back. after these next two days i think thats the end for good of me and the drops.
my stats from yesterday using the pedometer were:
5689 steps, 170.67 calories burnt, 3.14km
so on average i’m walking about 3km a day without doing extra fitness such as the C25K, which is quite good but could be better, and hopefully will get so. day 3 of week 2 of the C25K will be completed tonight and results will be posted tomorrow.

SDD day 20 - C25K week 2 day 2

last night i completed week 2 day 2 of the C25K, i struggled a bit and my pace was slower than it was the night before, but i still didn’t walk when i was meant to be running, which i’m insanely proud of :) .
using ped here are my results:
before completing the c25k (what i did during the day)
3889 steps, 116.67kcal burnt, 2.33km
results from doing the C25K
3877 steps, 116.31kcal burnt, 2.32km
overall results from the day
7766 steps, 232.98kcal, 4.65km
because my pace was slower my results are lower than they were last time, so i fell just under the 5k mark from both day 1 +day 2 of week 2 put together, which is a bit disappointed but oh well. when i next do the shred tomorrow evening, i will have smashed the 5k a week target and be well on the way to hitting running 20k in a month target.
today was also weigh in day, i’ve lost 2lbs over this week, which isn’t too bad considering i haven’t monitered my intake in any way except noting that my appetite has decreased. i’m now down to 13st 9lb, so only 3st 9lb to go before i hit my target and then i have the fun task of maintain that weight!
decided i need to buy some running shoes! and i’ve found a really snazzy pair on ebay for only a fiver, yes i’m cheap. my pedometer was only £5.99. i would love a fitbit pedometer but i can’t justify the expense of them just to calculate my calorie loss etc when my £5.99 one works great and that i’ve already fallen in love with. i’ve also purchased a watch pedometer, again only a fiver, to help measure my daily exercise and the C25K seperately.
on another not only 3 more days of SDD left. i’m really looking forward to ditching this diet. i feel like it hasn’t done anything for me and was a bit of a waste of money. but we’ll see. i’ve heard that sometimes the inches and weight fall off a couple of days after you finish a diet or exercise programme as your body stores more fat to help repair muscle, at least with exercise! that will be interesting to see.
after the SDD diet is finished, i’m leaving it a couple of days before i start the 30 day shred to get my body back to normality.

SDD day 19 - C25K week 2 day 1

last night i completed the 1st day of the 2nd week of the C25K. i keep surprising myself with how much i actually enjoy running now. the last time i ran was in school in a P.E. class and i hated it. it was horrible having to watch people beating you at every sporting event i tried (except javelin, i was queen of that exercise). i think seeing other people do better than me continuely was what ruined running for me, what’s fun about pushing yourself so hard you can’t breathe properly to be beaten anyway? whereas with the C25K its me on my own, going at a pace that is right for me.
according to my little pedometer whose come everywhere with me for the past 2 days, during the half hour of the C25K, half of which was scheduled walking, i took 4009 steps, burnt 120.27 calories and travelled 2.40k. considering that this is week 2 i’m already doing half of a 5k, and if i ran for the full 20mins i’m sure i could hit 5k in half hour, but i’m not at that level yet, its baby steps for now and sticking religiously to the C25K programme.
my drops have been taken and i’m feeling good! i woke up really hungry this morning, but after reading a runners blog yesterday, i realised i could be confusing what i thought was hunger pangs with dehydration. and sure enough after a lot of water i felt amazing again. the sick feeling has finally gone but today the weather has been terrible, raining and windy, my kind of weather. rather than the 20c it was yesterday, so it could be the heat messing up my body.
completing day 2 of the second week of the C25K tonight, and will also be weighing myself :( results will be posted tomorrow.
4 more days left on the SDD diet :) and then for a month i can focus purely on exercising :)

SDD day 18

not too much to report today. feeling really sick latelt.
it was very bad last night, didn’t sleep until 2 i felt so rough. and i was planning to do the c25k last night but doing it tonight instead as starting to feel better slowly.
today it hit 20c, it hasn’t been this hot in england in about a year. so i’m probably just reacting badly to the climate changing.
SDD diet is going well. mostly lost my appetite so hopefully this week will bump up my total weight-loss of 3lbs haha. only 53 more lbs to go :p
i found this little gem awhile ago, i may start it in a couple of weeks, it will be interesting to see if it works. although thankfully i will not be posting pictures of my derriere all over the internet :)

i also bought a pedometer today so i can keep track of how many calories are burnt throughout the weeks of the c25k. really getting into fitness lately. i hope i don’t lose this drive!

5 more days left on the SDD diet :)

SDD day 17 - C25K day 3 week 1

itching to do the 30 day shred again! I've been torturing myself by looking at before and after pictures of other women who've completed it.
I got halfway through the shred last year before I gave up. this was mainly due to not being able to accurately measure my body. so this time instead of measurements i'll be taking before and after pics and disgust you all with my hideous belly!
a good motivator I've decided on, is getting a side tattoo done. I've already got an incomplete one on my foot of my daughters name, I refuse to show off my body anywhere in public because I think it's hideous so i'm hoping losing weight will make it easier for me to get it done.

I write in this lovely little note book everyday before I update my blog. I take it with me everywhere, its my little blog book. I needed something to help me focus on more and give me a little sense of achievement each day so I won't get bored with my current diet/ fitness programme, and a friend suggested making a little sticker chart like a lot of people used to have in school, and its working! its really empty at the moment but I can't wait to fill it up :)

seeing as though my start to the shred is just over a week away, I also ordered some weight stuffs and my own new scales :D
I completed day 3 of the first week of the C25K last night so that's now the first week done and dusted :D sweated buckets this time, but I did run more than before (jogged the first 2 times),  and as a another motivator I decided to look at the races up and coming in my area, there are none that i'll be ready for. *boo*
the drops seem to be making me hungry and lately my acid reflux is worse than normal, hoping their not connected but if they are, only 6 more days to go, appetite still hasn't come back, doesn't help that my daughters decided to be a little monkey and not like me eating in front of her.

SDD day 16

feeling good! but the type of feeling good that exercise brings.
it doesn't feel like the drops are doing anything for me, oh well, they've got a week left to change their game around and surprise me!
I didn't get round to doing the c25k last night, so it'll be completed late tonight instead and then my first week will be done :).
in the meantime, im picking up my daughter after a night round her dads and then onto revision!
ten exams in the next month or so! the fun of politics, economics and law! I sound like so much fun listing my subjects haha.
